i almost considered giving a higher rating, but the constant noise from the street and the church bells was unbearable, i expected peaceful relaxation but got a cacophony instead. also, the lighting in the bathroom was simply inadequate, thankfully i had a hand mirror! not even a complimentary snack for such inconveniences. very disappointing.

We had an amazing time at the hotel! The spacious room had a comfy bed and a great bathroom. Close by, we visited the Old Observatory and the beautiful canals. The staff was super helpful, even carrying our luggage. I recommend grabbing breakfast. it’s worth it to start your day right!
One downside was having to take a cab from the nearest train station, which can be a hassle if you have heavy bags.

The room was beautifully appointed with a stunning view of the canal, making it a delightful place to relax. We were in Leiden mainly to explore its rich history and visit sites like the Old Observatory, which is just a short walk away. Breakfast each morning was delicious and fresh. it really set the tone for the day. However, there were a few hiccups, like finding the reception closed at times stated. Overall, it was a lovely stay.
